Description

• Delivery of stable software according to roadmap and business priorities that satisfies product requirements, architectural specifications, and best practices, including: • Full-stack support of Ruby on Rails applications • Enhancements to internal and external APIs • Data store schema design and implementation • Well-architected systems design • Maintenance of high levels and quality of code test coverage while delivering clean, concise, and understandable code • Upkeep of technical documentation • Proactive cross-team collaboration • Contribution to the design, specifications, and estimation of engineering initiatives in concert with other Engineering teams and Product • Clear communication of important project information in Jira tickets, such as clarifying questions, progress, and feedback to stakeholders • Constructive feedback on architectural designs and in code reviews • Mentorship of more junior developers

Requirements

• Expertise developing applications with Ruby on Rails. • Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other (O)RDBMS, including advanced SQL skills • Experience with AWS serverless components (Lambdas, DynamoDB) a plus • Experience with containerization and Docker • Outstanding coding skills, knowledge of patterns and best practices with a focus on Ruby on Rails • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills • Front-end development experience a plus, especially with TypeScript • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture • Experience working at a start-up and/or in health tech a plus
