• Act as a key partner to the global business • Advise and lead in assessing and managing legal risk • Develop, implement, and maintain a legal compliance program • Oversee corporate governance matters • Draft and negotiate legal agreements • Develop processes for handling commercial agreements • Manage intellectual property portfolio • Oversee corporate insurance policies • Provide legal guidance on employment matters • Assist in fundraising and related activities • Provide strategic legal guidance in crisis situations • Manage litigations as needed • Lead and grow a high-performing team • Oversee external legal counsel

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in California with a minimum of 15 years of diverse legal experience • Experience in a high-growth business setting preferred • Experience in FoodTech, AgTech or deep tech companies is a strong asset • Exemplary professionalism and strict preservation of confidentiality • Thoroughness and rigor in analysis of legal or business matters • Reliable exercise of sound judgment and actionable advice in ambiguous situations • Ability to work independently while contributing cross-functionally • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills • Customer service- and results-oriented mindset • Experience and willingness to lead legal projects • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Experience attracting and developing talent
