Description

•We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. •Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for key aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial statement close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations, supporting process improvements and compliance with internal controls, and providing key analyses to help drive business objectives. •The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and will be a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a highly dynamic, cross-disciplinary environment.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. •5+ years of total accounting experience, preferably in a fast-growing or public biotech company, and/or public accounting experience. •Good foundational understanding of GAAP and SOX internal control requirements. •Experience with GL module of ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred). •Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel functionality. •Strong written and oral communication skills. •Strong attention to detail with ability to analyze and solve problems. •Strong organization and prioritization skills, and ability to muti-task to ensure deadlines are met with high quality output. •Highly motivated with the ability to work independently, ethically and responsibly, and work closely with and as part of the finance team. •Successfully exhibit Apogee’s C.O.R.E. values: Caring, Original, Resilient and Egoless. •Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%.
