Description
• Own day-to-day accounting operations, including AR/AP, while building long-term, scalable processes • Conduct regular audits of billing procedures to identify and rectify discrepancies • Conduct monthly close reconciliations and prepare analytical financial reports (e.g., Flux Analysis) to provide insights to management for decision-making • Implement and maintain billing systems, financial controls, and processes to ensure both accuracy and compliance, while maximizing efficiency • Review and approve expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies • Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation • Help strategize and create the Company’s revenue policy under ASC 606 • Ensure compliance with accounting standards including ASC 480, ASC 842, and ASC 718 • Liaise with external auditors and assist with annual audits • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transparency and accuracy across the organization
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting required • Big 4 Accounting background & experience in a high-growth startup (3+ years) highly preferred • Proven track record of successfully implementing controls & systems • Experience scaling and improving Finance & Accounting processes • Strong technical background (SaaS preferred), with a good understanding of ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718 • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on ethical conduct and integrity
