• Lead direct reports to encourage them to excel in their roles • Provide supervision to staff and other supervising attorneys • Troubleshoot issues related to clients, direct reporting staff, and program operations • Conduct intake on the assigned week • Record case notes and outcomes in a timely fashion in CLS’s data base • Prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, negotiate work outs, etc. in consumer proceedings • Represent clients in courts and administrative agencies
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree • Admitted to the New York State Bar, Active and in Good Standing • Minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience in housing law or a related field • Supervisory experience preferred • Knowledge of, and experience in, civil litigation required • Demonstrated commitment to public interest work • Excellent written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel • Strong Computer literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products
