Description
• We’re looking for a strong engineer who is enthusiastic about mobile technologies and innovating on the future of our mobile apps! As an engineer on the Mobile Foundation team, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to simplify how teams build our app for the highest quality, velocity, and member experience. • Stay up-to-date with React Native developments and best practices • Deliver the best developer experience for Chime product engineers • Optimize our app’s quality, observability and performance • Improve our mobile release process, shipping high quality app updates to members quickly • Work across the stack (React Native, Native iOS/Android, GraphQL API, CI/Build systems) • Partner with Chime product and infrastructure teams to identify and build improvements to the mobile platform’s capabilities and frameworks • Support teammates by participating actively in technical design, code reviews and architecture decisions
Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years experience in frontend development, with expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript/React Native (Bonus: native iOS or Android experience, React, Redux, GraphQL, Jest) • Experience collaborating well with team members • Understanding of architectural patterns of large production services built for scale. Ability to safely make changes without disrupting and introducing regressions to millions of users. • A passion for learning and sharing knowledge alongside teammates, with self-motivation and keen attention to detail • A strong empathy for the users of the products you create
