Description

• Contribute to the growth of the open source database, CockroachDB. • Enhance Disaster Recovery features on Cockroach Cloud. • Develop in Go and React/TypeScript, but learn while here. • Work closely with other engineers and product managers. • Help foster a collaborative culture and exchange knowledge. • Ensure CockroachDB remains scalable, survivable, and consistent.

Requirements

• A passion for working on complex technical products • Experience building modern web applications using programming languages like Go, C/C++, Java, JavaScript and Python. • Comfort implementing graphical user interfaces using technologies like React. • An understanding of system design, API design, and infrastructure such as Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure. • Exposure to topics such as distributed systems, concurrency control, data replication, file systems, or SQL processing. • 5+ years of relevant experience. • Experience building collaborative relationships with your colleagues. You enjoy being part of the code review process and partnering with your teammates on challenging problems. • A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
