Description
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent. • Manage performance and career development for team members. • Oversee all aspects of product development, including architecture, design, coding, testing, and deployment. • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems as we grow. • Work closely with Product, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on product roadmaps. • Implement and optimize development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and product quality. • Foster a culture of automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing new ideas to the team. • Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation within the engineering team.
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment. • Proficiency in Python, Django, Postgres, and AWS, with a deep understanding of architectural best practices. • Deep understanding of software development, architecture, and engineering best practices. • Strong background in system design, data architecture, and scalable infrastructure. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
