Description

• Perform exploratory data analysis to determine which questions can be answered effectively with a given dataset. • Trace code (forward and backward) through bitbucket. • Analyze SQL, Django and Python code for opportunities for improvement. • Review customer logs for errors and database processes. • Work with stakeholders to model data and provide it for downstream use in embedded analytics. • Conduct performance testing. Analyze test logs and create test reports. • Take initiative to implement test automation efforts. • Review requirement specifications and technical designs. • Participate in database design efforts and code reviews. • Create reports and dashboards. • Develop and automate data quality checks.

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities. • Demonstrated ability with ETL design and implementation. • Fluency with SQL, Python, and Shell scripting. • Experience with relational and time series databases. • Fluent in query optimization. • Familiarity with both cloud and on-prem data warehouses and ETL tools. • Understanding of the difference between batch, change data capture, and streaming – and when best to use each. • Experience with performance testing. • Advanced knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, or other Version Control System. • Experience with Agile methodology. • Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure. • Experience with database performance tuning. Knowledge of DataMart architecture and implementation. • Experience with data analysis and visualizations. • Experience with AWS databases, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Glue is a plus. • Proficient with Django and Go is a plus. • Experience with Jira is a plus.
