Description
• Focuses on end-to-end reliability, durability, scalability, and performance of Figma products and services • Responsible for scaling and driving initiatives and programs supporting Figma's production engineering efforts • Collaborates with product teams to deliver new features rapidly • Plays a critical role in supporting growth, innovation, and new product development across engineering teams • Works closely with the engineering team to define methodologies and goals around reliability, durability, scalability, and performance • Addresses operational challenges through telemetry and tool building • Debugs production issues and participates in design and production reviews • Plans for the growth of Figma's infrastructure • Operates and maintains AWS infrastructure
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience operating infrastructure components/services at scale • Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals and interest in distributed systems • Experienced in managing infrastructure services in cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud • Commitment to operational security and best practices • Ability to diagnose problems within complex systems • Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills • Driven by impact and willing to work on high-impact problems • Care deeply about software/system quality and continuous improvement • Values inclusivity and collaboration within a close-knit company culture at Figma
