Description
• Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Sr. Engineering Manager for self-service platform • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations • Collaborate with recruiting to hire and onboard new team members • Help define and execute the technical roadmap • Assist in following best practices and coding standards • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies • Assist with planning, prioritization, and development of features and projects • Work with product and program managers on project requirements • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues • Collaborate with other engineering teams • Communicate effectively with stakeholders
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field • 10+ years of development experience, with a strong background in backend systems • 5+ years of leadership or managerial experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or other OOP languages and web frameworks • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
