Description
• Lead a team of business intelligence and data analysts, and data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality output and professional growth • Prioritize, lead, and manage business, data, and data analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality • Work closely with CTO to develop and implement data and data analytics strategy aligned with overall data analytics roadmap and organizational goals and objectives • Develop and maintain complex data models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate complex data insights and support business decision-making • Work closely with business leaders to identify needs, develop solutions, and present findings to drive business outcomes • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and regulations • Oversee the development and maintenance of data analytics tools, platforms, and infrastructure • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve data infrastructure and analytical capabilities
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field (STEM); Master’s degree preferred • At least 5 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Broad experience with data manipulation and analysis (SQL and e.g. Python, R, etc.) • High proficiency with business analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ELT processes • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Organized with good project management skills • Strong understanding of data governance and quality principles • Familiarity with cloud-based business intelligence and data analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) • Nice to Have: Experience with Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) • Nice to Have: Experience working in the financial industry - real assets a plus
