• We are looking for a talented and passionate writer to join our team remotely • This role is central to the content strategy of LawandCrime.com • You’ll contribute to a brand that leads in online true crime reporting
Requirements
• 4-5+ years experience as a successful full-time crime or court editor/reporter • Knowledge, experience, and deep sourcing in the legal/crime field • A strong knowledge of Associated Press style • Comfort and experience working in a fast-paced competitive news environment • Knowledge of how to obtain and read legal documents and derive news content from them • Familiarity with Wordpress • Experience with analytics & how to drive smart content decisions based on them • A track record working collaboratively with fellow writers and editors • The drive to care about being first — but care even more about being accurate • Comfortable with working 1 weekend day
