Description
• Engineer functions as a technical leader • Coordinate overall design activities and project submission schedules • Responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties • Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings • Review submittals and coordinate project submissions • Prepare and review specifications, draft letters, and technical reports • Complete inspections and field work assignments • Research, interpret, and apply regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements • Maintain project records • Develop technically accurate and deliverable drawings • Utilize quality assurance and quality control processes • Perform work within assigned budgets
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant Engineering field • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience • Professional Engineer (PE) license • Knowledge of NYSDOT, PennDOT, or Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge design • Understanding of AASHTO and NYSDOT/PennDOT Design Manuals • Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads, and other related software programs • Strong desire to expand knowledge base and undertake new responsibilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Strong oral & written communication skills • Strong organizational & time management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
