Description

• Senior Engineer functions as a technical leader • Required to have a Professional Engineer (PE) license and commensurate work experience • Coordinates overall design activities, project submission schedules • Responsible for additional QA/QC duties • Ensures final product meets technical requirements and goals • Responsible for meeting established budgets and schedules • Performs independent planning and design tasks • Reviews work of others and prepares construction documents • Collaborates with project team members • Knowledge of codes and standards • Performs final QA/QC review of project submissions • Develops schedules, technical proposals, labor hour estimates • Works closely with project teams • Promotes quality assurance and quality control processes • Checks design calculations, technical specifications, prepares cost estimates • Develops and maintains design budgets • Education and Experience • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant Engineering field • Minimum of 10 years job-related experience • Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required

Requirements

• Must have thorough knowledge of design and development process of transportation bridge projects • Knowledge of AASHTO, NYSDOT, or PennDOT Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications • Engineering Software and Microstation • Ability to prepare bridge design, bridge construction plans, specifications • Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads preferred • Desire to expand knowledge base, undertake new responsibilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Strong oral & written communication skills • Strong organizational & time management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
