Description

• Case Preparation: Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing case files, conducting initial case research, and preparing necessary documents. • Document Management: Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Ensure all documents are filed accurately and timely. • Scheduling: Coordinate and manage schedules for depositions, court hearings, meetings, and other litigation-related events. Send reminders and confirmations to all relevant parties. • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries. Maintain professional and confidential communication at all times. • Court Filings: Prepare and file court documents both electronically and physically. Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. • Discovery Support: Assist with the organization and review of discovery materials, including document production and review. • Trial Preparation: Support attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing trial exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and managing trial logistics. • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, such as managing correspondence, preparing reports, and maintaining case files. • Research: Conduct legal research and gather information as needed to support case development and strategy.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a litigation support role within a law firm or legal department. • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (e.g., iManage, Clio, or similar). • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in document preparation and case management.
