• Responsible for building a litigation and advocacy practice for people living with disabilities • Represent clients in federal court, NY Supreme Court, and the Commission on Human Rights • Lead coalition work with community partners and engage in policy advocacy • Provide training and support to colleagues and community partners • Broaden advocacy efforts to address systemic barriers
• License to practice law in New York with a minimum of three (3) years of practicing law • Substantial experience and competency in working with low-income people with disabilities • Experience litigating in federal court and discrimination cases • Experience providing direct legal services from a trauma-informed perspective • Strong legal research, analysis, writing, and public speaking skills
• 21 vacation days per year (increasing to 28 days after the first year) • 18 sick days per year • Loan Repayment Assistance Program • Remote work up to 50% of the time
