Description
• Responsible for litigation, representation in administrative fora, advocacy, and community education throughout Brooklyn • Assist clients with income and health security issues • Engage in community outreach and make home visits when necessary
Requirements
• Admitted to the New York State Bar • Demonstrated passion for social justice and commitment to low income communities • Demonstrated experience with the elderly and their specific legal issues • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills • Ability to work with clients in crisis • Capacity to handle a diverse caseload across multiple practice areas • Strong organization skills • Experience with health law, public benefits, and social security preferred
