Description

• Monitor Network Alerts: Continuously monitor network systems for alerts and incidents. • Respond promptly to network alarms and outages. • Escalate issues as necessary to senior engineers or relevant teams. • ISP Communication: Contact Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to report outages, follow up on open tickets, and ensure timely resolution of issues. • Data Backup Management: Perform regular tape backup operations and ensure that data tapes are properly stored, rotated, and replaced. • Incident Logging and Reporting: Log all incidents, alerts, and communications in the ticketing system. • Basic Troubleshooting: Perform initial troubleshooting steps for network issues. • Documentation: Assist in maintaining up-to-date network documentation and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in IT, Networking, or related field is a plus. • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). • Familiarity with network monitoring tools is a plus. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Prior experience in a technical support role or call center is preferred but not required. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
