Description
• Assisting Client Consultation • Gather supporting documents for individual cases, address concerns and maintain positive client relations • Assist attorney in consulting corporate clients on compliance with Department of Labor and Immigration Regulations • Interview clients to identify immigration/visa issues • Participate in client communication • Evaluate clients' qualifications for visas and advise on possible approaches • Respond to questions from attorneys • Participate in conferences or discussions between attorney and client • Coordinate attorneys' schedules • Provide status updates to clients and senior team members • Provide guidance to assignees regarding case processing • Initiate contact with government agencies for information • Monitor visa expiration dates and filing deadlines • Compile and summarize data for reporting needs • Meet deadlines and communicate case progress to supervisor • Prepare briefs, statements, contracts, forms, emails, letters, response packages, applications, and petitions • Manage status of filed documents • Conduct legal research
Requirements
• LLM, JD, or legal-related degree • 1-2 years of experience as a paralegal or similar role • Paralegal certificate a plus • Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Punctual and reliable • Bilingual in English and Mandarin • Customer service-oriented communication skills • Interest and passion for immigration marketing
