Description
• Serve as a consultant and advisor to the People Team on employment law • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts and related documents • Partner with Legal and People Team on employment litigation and disputes • Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with employment laws • Conduct internal investigations into employee complaints • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws • Provide training to management and HR staff
Requirements
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law, either in-house or at a law firm • Entrepreneurial mindset in generating new and innovative solutions • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to handle ambiguity and manage multiple projects and deadlines • Experience with dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation
