Description
• Seek highly motivated self-starter Intellectual Property (IP) Counsel to support OXMAN R&D function • Collaborate with research and product development teams • Manage internal and external resources for IP portfolios • Draft, review, and revise IP agreements • Setting and implementing patent strategy • Personally author patent applications and responses • Interact with patent offices worldwide • Support IP litigation, licensing, and commercialization activities • Support competitive intelligence and monitoring • Provide other IP support as needed
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years professional experience • J.D. from an accredited law school • Admitted to a US state bar and USPTO registration in good standing • Strong industry or patent law experience in biology, engineering, robotics, plant sciences, material science, chemistry, or design • Experience with patent preparation and prosecution preferred • Experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel • Experience in licensing, post grant proceedings, and/or litigation • Experience with universities for sponsored research and licensing • Strong project management and organization skills with meticulous attention to detail • Independent, self-directed, highly motivated, intellectually curious, and driven to take initiative • Excellent, clear, and tactful written and interpersonal communication skills • Proactive in identifying solutions to potential problems • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment • Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines • Strong commitment to the team; maintains positive working relationships • Embodies ethics, confidentiality, and integrity
