Description
• Backend Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organizations use data • Involved throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation, design, prototyping, and production delivery • Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teammates to understand customers' problems and build products that solve them • Encourage movement across teams to share context, skills, and experience • Work autonomously and make decisions independently within a supportive community • Building high-quality code for large scale data systems, security, and application infrastructure • Technologies used include Java, Rust, Go, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Spark, Kubernetes, and more
Requirements
• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar field • Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages • Familiarity with storage and data processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and technical tools • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate, empathize, and iterate with users and non-technical stakeholders • Bias towards quality, thoughtful about edge cases, and defensive coding • Openness to learn new technologies and concepts
