• Exhibit adaptability by working fluidly with various programming languages, tools, and libraries and shifting effortlessly between frontend, backend, and infrastructure roles. • Provide technical leadership and make architectural decisions, guiding the team during challenges and leading problem resolution efforts. • Use your critical eye to prevent premature over-engineering and drive projects forward efficiently, while understanding the long-term impact of coding decisions. • Deliver code that is of high quality, performant, readable, and well-tested. • Focus on coding solutions that effectively address business and customer needs, making strategic trade-offs to optimize outcomes. • Work as a part of a cross-functional team to define, design, and implement new features and improvements for Plivo's communication platform. • Clearly articulate complex problems and communicate viable architecture and design approaches concisely. • Take ownership of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance. • Ensure the applications exhibit high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional programming experience, ideally in a small team setting. • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, Golang, Java, and Javascript. • Understanding of CSS, advanced JavaScript, Vue.js, React.js, and other web technologies. • Versatility in handling various software engineering roles, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure, and an openness to holistic approaches. • Recognized by peers for technical expertise and leadership, particularly in architectural decisions, and as a dependable resource during team challenges. • Skilled in identifying premature over-engineering and understanding the long-term impacts of programming choices to optimize projects. • Recognizes that code serves business and customer needs, with a readiness to make efficient trade-offs to address these challenges effectively.
