Description

• Work on various open source and consulting projects, focusing on the conda ecosystem and packaging for Python users • Improve and maintain conda-forge and conda-store • Collaborate with industry and academia clients • Interact with team members and community contributors • Drive conversations around technical issues, engineering practices, and community processes • Review code and provide constructive feedback • Provide new features and performance enhancements • Maintain and extend documentation • Be part of Python, PyData, and packaging communities

Requirements

• Familiarity with compilers and build tools • Git and GitHub proficiency • Experience with open source development practices • Asynchronous remote team work experience • Continuous Integration and Deployment tools knowledge • Bonus: Prior experience with packaging for conda or another package manager • Bonus: Proficiency in C, C++, Python • Bonus: Experience with shell scripting and/or containerization
