Description
• Develop features and build infrastructure to integrate with external platforms like Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce • Build and maintain high-quality APIs for eCommerce, focusing on tracking orders, order placement, returns • Develop user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end technologies like React, TypeScript, and Next.js • Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX designs and provide feedback for quick design iterations • Implement server-side rendering and other front-end architectural patterns for improved SEO • Stand up new infrastructure on GCP, Netlify, etc. • Create tutorials, product explorers for merchants integrated with Rye, and internal tools to manage orders and enable business people to interact with customers • Work independently and communicate proactively with a remote-first team
Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience in engineering frontend and backend systems, with some experience working in a fast-paced startup environment • Experience building systems with a GraphQL API and GCP backend • Proficiency in React and modern front-end libraries like Tailwind is needed, and Node.js and TypeScript (or similar) for the backend • Experience with front-end build pipelines and deployment platforms like Netlify • Familiarity with server-side rendering using Next.js and other front-end architectural patterns for SEO • Passion for both back-end and front-end development, where creating great user experiences is quintessential, even without a designer • Excellent communication skills, growth mindset, thoughtful, and ability to work independently under tight timelines
