Description
• Contribute to a cross-functional team on Backstage throughout the development stack solving problems at scale for customers • Collaborate with engineering squads across Spotify to support knowledge cataloging needs • Lead engineering efforts of multi-phase projects internal to Backstage • Build and operate infrastructure, toolset, and deployment pipelines • Take operational responsibility for services owned by your team • Deliver high-impact and high-visibility projects with startup-style pace backed by resources of a global company
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, with an interest in Node, Scala, and Java • Solid understanding of systems design, data structures, and algorithms • Passionate, empathetic thought leader eager to guide other engineers • Experience working within distributed systems designing highly-scalable systems • Interested in current best practices in areas of expertise • Knowledge of continuous delivery and automated testing • Good understanding of data structures and algorithms to design pragmatic solutions • Support peers and engineering teams while fostering best practices • Impact through communication skills sharing knowledge with others • Drive to continuously improve team processes • Bonus points for history of contribution to open source projects
