Description

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting • Continuously increase efficiency of month end close and shorten month-end close cycle • Evaluate new and existing accounting tools • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data • Prepare and present financial reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations • Coordinate and manage annual audits and tax filings, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors • Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic initiatives and business planning • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and People teams as the Finance SME on projects as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, ideally within a startup environment • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards • Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and MS Excel • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and manage multiple priorities • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams • Comfortable sorting through data to better understand the company’s financial results
