Description
• Build production facing tools on a petabyte-scale warehouse • Work directly with data customers for analytics and reporting needs • Enable data teams to access information at massive scale • Develop new data infrastructure and architecture from the ground up • Write production level code that processes millions of events per day • Audit, design, and maintain a high-performing data pipeline architecture • Help define, document, and evangelize high engineering standards • Build and scale data orchestration services for complex analysis • Design and implement tooling for access management and monitoring • Proactively explore data for anomalies and automate data quality capture • Own data quality for crucial systems and serve as a primary resource • Define and run SLAs for datasets supporting production services • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders and mentor engineers • Promote knowledge sharing and industry best practices
Requirements
• 7+ years working in either a data or software engineering related field (5+ years working with data directly) • 3+ years of recent experience working with GCP / AWS • Expertise with Rest API concepts • Experience working with DBT, airflow, or similar data processing tools • Expert in Python, strong SQL and No-SQL experience • Familiar with data ingestion, transformation, query patterns and architectures • Proven track record of working closely with technical and non-technical teams • Experience in setting coding standards and mentoring junior developers • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
