Description

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale heavy civil construction projects, ensuring that all phases of the project are completed to specification, on time, and within budget. • Manage all project aspects, including utilities, concrete, structural steel, earthworks, and roadway construction. • Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies like DOT, MTA, DDC, and other government bodies, ensuring compliance with their specific requirements, standards, and procedures. • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures, while ensuring the project team adheres to the set milestones. • Supervise and coordinate the work of project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to contract requirements and safety standards. • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that could impact project delivery. • Oversee the preparation and submission of project documentation, including RFI (Request for Information), submittals, change orders, progress reports, and any other relevant documentation. • Lead pre-construction meetings, site visits, and regular project review meetings to ensure all parties are aligned and project objectives are clear. • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. • Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, subcontractors, and the internal project team. • Implement risk management strategies and develop contingency plans to handle potential project disruptions. • Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff, ensuring their continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction project management, with expertise in heavy civil infrastructure such as utilities, concrete, structural steel, and related systems. • Proven track record managing projects with DOT, MTA, DDC, and other public agencies. • Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations, particularly in government and public sector projects. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
