• Step into a pivotal role supporting the United States Geological Survey (USGS) • Shape the future of geospatial technology and hydrology • Develop innovative tools and applications • Design and develop web applications using technologies such as JavaScript, React, and Node.js • Develop tools to transform complex hydrologic data into formats that support The National Map
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field • +2 years’ experience (Advanced education in software engineering or a related field is desirable) • Proven experience of at least 3 years in designing and developing web applications or services using technologies such as JavaScript, React, Apollo GraphQL, SQL, Node.js, and CSS3. • Demonstrated expertise with Esri/ArcGIS software development, including ArcPy Python programming • Proven track record of at least 3 years in developing and maintaining GIS software applications • Demonstrated knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies, and experience with DevOps best practices (CI/CD automation is desirable)
