Description

• We are supporting a Senior Director in the Quality Assurance space • Our client works in a Big Data department that processes north of 250 Billion market events/day • This group handles massive amounts of financial data and more projects and work are appearing in the Crypto/Blockchain space • Our client is looking for a Big Data SDET that has a data engineering background mixed in with Quality assurance • This person will need to be able to do programming in either Scala, Java and/or Python • Spark and AWS experience will be very important as well • The candidate should have experience with Data pipeline tools like Airflow or DBT and possess good SQL skills

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience • Very strong programming skills in Scala, Java and/or Python • Strong experience and knowledge of Spark/Spark SQL • Experience writing automated tests and building test frameworks from scratch • AWS experience is a must • EMR, S3, DynamoDB • Experience with Data pipeline tools like Airflow or DBT • Data engineering/ETL experience • Strong communication skills • Proactive and strong sense of ownership and self-reliance
