Description

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects • Create and execute project work plans including developing project scope, schedule and budget estimates • Mentor junior staff • Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives • Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and/or MoDOT • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events • Ability to identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits • Identifying resources needed and effectively delegating staff duties and responsibilities • Serve as the primary interface between the clients and staff for a given project • Coordinate, monitor, and review work performed by sub‐consultants • Promote the team environment and communication and identify and address team conflicts • Networking, including active participation in and leadership of professional organizations

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline • Registered Engineer in Kansas or Missouri • Minimum of 7+ years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility • Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects preferred • Seller/Doer mentality, client interaction experience a plus • A track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules • Excellent communication and client relation skills • Strong understanding and familiarity with steel/concrete design software • Experience with bridge inspection, including completed NHI training a plus • Practice good time management skills, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities • Willingness to travel to project/work sites as necessary
