Event Marketing Manager

Sales

• As our Director of Sales, you’ll be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations and leadership of our sales team. Reporting directly to one of our Co-Founders, you’ll work in partnership to coordinate, lead, and scale our sales function while ruthlessly prioritizing our ability to hit or exceed our sales and revenue goals. 
• Drive Sales Goals: First and foremost, you'll be on the front line with your team of Brand Partners, helping to aggressively and quickly move business through our sales pipeline while answering questions and inspiring along the way.
• Manage and Improve Sales Operations: From leading weekly kickoffs and call reviews to making sure pipelines are clean and setting quotas, you'll be responsible for managing and improving our overall sales process as we scale.
• Coach and Manage Day-to-Day Performance: You'll regularly provide proactive coaching, guidance, and feedback to help improve the knowledge and capabilities of your team.
• Facilitate Sales Escalation & Closing: You'll champion the sales escalation process and work directly with the team to close high-value deals while always looking for opportunities to network with decision-makers for top-down deals.
• Onboard, Train, and Mentor New Team Members: You'll have the exciting opportunity to oversee the onboarding, skill development, and results growth of your team by providing consistent learning, feedback, and expertise on sales approaches and methodologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll work with other teams across Blockworks, including Research, Events, Podcasts, and Newsletters as the primary point person to provide Sales updates and bring critical conversations back to your team.
• Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

Data Engineer

• As our Senior Data Engineer, you'll be our first data engineer and directly responsible for leading the creation and execution of our data models and strategies.
• You'll work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team to design, develop, implement, and evolve our data pipeline and API strategies and approaches.
• You'll own Data Sourcing Pipelines, Design and Implement ETL Solutions, Grow Shared Knowledge, Drive Operational Efficiency, and engage in Cross-Functional Collaboration.

• Design and build backend systems and strategies for data and analytics products
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop, implement, and evolve data strategies and approaches
