Description

• Architect, design, and implement a comprehensive data platform leveraging Azure services. • Lead the establishment and enforcement of standardized scripting, coding practices, and development frameworks. • Oversee database implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. • Manage the migration of data from legacy systems to modern solutions that meet clinical trial operations. • Develop and maintain detailed data architecture documentation. • Monitor and optimize system performance through regular testing and troubleshooting. • Utilize Azure Fabric for building microservices and distributed systems. • Integrate the Azure-based data platform with other cloud services, including AWS and Google BigQuery. • Contribute to the implementation of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and address requirements. • Educate and support staff on data architecture best practices. • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Azure data technologies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working with Azure data services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, Azure HDInsight, and Databricks. • Expert in SQL, Python, and ETL processes, with extensive experience in building pipelines, developing stored procedures and functions, and integrating via APIs, data streaming, and messaging queues. • Ability to design and implement compliant data solutions in regulated environments, preferably within clinical trials or healthcare. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment, and experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). • Proficiency with big data tools such as Apache Hadoop, Hive, and experience with data transformation formats like HL7, FHIR, JSON and Parquet. • Understanding of Azure Fabric offerings for developing and managing microservices and distributed applications. • Strong technical writing skills for documentation and reporting.
