Description

• An Engineer at Code.org, delivering software products and operating services used by tens of millions of students and teachers in K-12 classrooms around the world • Write code, configure systems, own projects, build features, work on technical challenges, collaborate with teams, ship software regularly • Contribute to an inclusive, growth-focused, and collaborative team culture

Requirements

• DevOps Engineering: Proficient in AWS configuration, CloudFormation, Chef, CI/CD pipelines • Application & Infrastructure Security: Familiar with risk assessment, safeguarding web applications, and cloud infrastructure • Web Application Server Engineering: Familiar with Unix environments, Docker containers, Chef, CDNs, web server performance optimization • Database Administration and Storage Systems: Experience with AWS RDS Aurora MySQL, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, data visualization tools • Site Reliability / Production Engineering: Incident management, monitoring/alerting systems, web application performance • Backend Platform Engineering: Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or similar MVC framework, backend architecture, building robust, scalable platforms
