Description

• At Current, on a mission to enable members to create better financial outcomes • Leading U.S. fintech with over 4 million members • Seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist • Lead design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms in fintech domain • Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, programming, and VertexAI • Responsibilities include analyzing datasets, developing predictive models, conducting data analysis, and model performance evaluation • Collaborate with engineering teams and contribute to the development of best practices • Preferred qualifications include experience with Google Cloud Platform services

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field • Proficiency in Python programming and machine learning libraries • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model selection techniques • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly VertexAI and Dataflow • Proficiency in Scala programming language preferred • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities
