Description
• Assist in producing a Catholic-based TV news program • Work closely with reporters and production staff • Pitch stories, write scripts, edit video, and help with breaking news • Learn to line produce and assist with the assignment desk • Train new writers and interns • Assist field requests from reporters
Requirements
• Degree in journalism, broadcast news, or equivalent • 1-2 years of experience in a newsroom • Exceptional news judgment and knowledge of copyright infringement • Ability to edit on Adobe Premiere or equivalent • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to learn quickly and work independently • Experience working on digital platforms and sharing content on social media • Strong multi-tasking and deadline skills • Willingness to work late hours and weekends • Basic knowledge of Catholic Church and traditions is a plus
