Description
• Engineers Gate (EG) is a leading quantitative investment company focused on computer-driven trading in global financial markets. • Join the Systems Infrastructure team responsible for all layers of technology in the environment. • Initially focus on day-to-day system administration and supporting end-user systems with opportunities for growth. • In-office role based in New York City office with physical responsibilities and periodic regional travel. • Unique opportunity to impact daily operations and oversee lead substantial infrastructure projects. • Exposure to a Linux-centric public cloud environment, configuration management tools, cloud-managed services, databases, user-facing systems, SaaS-heavy environment, cloud-native video-conferencing and phone systems, various storage technologies.
Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in CS, EE, or related field. • 1-5 years professional experience in technology related field. • Superb communication skills. • Able to manage projects independently. • Able to learn new platforms and technologies quickly. • Server administration - Windows and/or Linux. • Scripting/programming (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.). • Mobile device management controls (MDM/MAM). • Video conference and phone systems. • Desktop support across multiple operating systems - Windows, Mac and Linux. • White glove, high-touch end-user support. • Windows and Active Directory administration. • Email system administration and support. • Security and compliance controls (endpoint security, firewalls, etc.). • Public cloud (particularly AWS). • Database administration. • Financial industry experience.
Benefits
• Competitive salary anticipated to be between $80,000-$130,000 • Potential for bonus amounts and other forms of compensation • Benefits offered will be carefully determined based on candidate's skills, qualifications, education, and experience
