Description
• Understand the state of the art in AI or biology and move forward at least one of those fields • Contribute to executing the research roadmap for the company, including large-scale pretraining of foundation models, fine-tuning foundation models for impactful applications in biology, applying AI models in workflows solving applied problems in biology, etc. • Drive the research for a portion of the company’s cutting-edge foundation model efforts and lead projects in that area • Implement software for research initiatives • Collaborate with other researchers and engineers • Engage the wider scientific community through impactful publications and open source releases
Requirements
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python • M.Sc. in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience • 3+ years of experience implementing models with pytorch or equivalent tools • Ability to plan and run ML experiments, analyze and communicate outcomes
