• Champion an iterative, fast-paced, data-driven design philosophy – prototype, user-test, launch, learn from user data and feedback, to iterate further • Designing and developing website user interfaces that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional. • Producing user flows and wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions. • Creating and maintaining production-ready assets for developers to implement. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure project requirements are met. • Coordinate our user research and testing to generate continuous insights that influence our design and product direction. • Partner with Product Management to translate product requirements and user stories into world-class UI / UX to empower candidates, voters, and volunteers • Participate in and facilitate brainstorming with leadership and key stakeholders to align product and design visions around excellent user experience. • Evolve GoodParty.org’s design system and partner with Marketing to establish our brand and visual identity • Obsess over the user experience and design accessible interfaces that work seamlessly for people with varying levels of ability. Maintain high empathy in all facets of your design work. • Staying up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our designs are cutting-edge and effective.
• You’re up for the audacious challenge of redesigning our democracy. You’ve got the grit to see it through because you’re motivated by the potential impact you can have. • You’re a proven A-player with a track record of innovative design, increasing responsibility, and success. We care more about trajectory than years of experience. • You bring a clear creative direction from the highest level but are hands-on living and breathing the details • You have strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices. • You’re an expert in Figma and have experience with recent research tools that have AI capabilities such as HeyMarvin, Maze, DoveTail, Kraftful, Dscout, etc. • You’ve built something from scratch or worked at an early stage startup. You enjoy the ambiguous, ever-changing nature of startups. • You’re able to design independently and are also willing to collaborate well with others to iteratively solve problems in real-time • You’ve performed evaluative user research such as A/B tests, focus groups, value-prop testing and more on innovative products. You are well-versed with a variety of user research testing tools. You’re incredibly skilled at prototyping. • You are known for having excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • You have experience working with Figma and are energized by collaborating live with your remote teammates and stakeholders. • You thrive working at startup speed. Our solution is desperately needed and the issues of our time are all bottlenecked by our corrupt democracy. • You’re constantly learning patterns and trends in UI/UX and using or comfortable with the ever-changing social media landscape of Gen Z (e.g. TikTok, Snap, etc.) • You’re an honest, direct communicator who seeks out and appreciates giving and getting feedback • You communicate your ideas and reasoning clearly, both verbally and visually • You’re comfortable working alongside a development team within lean and agile processes • You are on board with our mission of supporting independent, people-powered, anti-corruption candidates from across the ideological spectrum
