How We Do It:
Our evidence-based, comprehensive public health approach equips teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other, strengthens schools’ mental health and suicide prevention policies, programs and systems, and mobilizes community awareness, understanding, and action.

Product Manager

Product Manager for JED, focusing on digital product development and quality assurance.

• Manage JED's digital products
• Develop and execute roadmaps for digital products
• Collaborate to shape product strategies
• Define and monitor KPIs
• Manage vendor relationships and quality assurance
• Maintain product documentation

Human Resources

Director of HR at JED, ensuring delivery of HR services.

• Oversees processes for the full employee cycle including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Serves as a main Human Resources liaison to staff members, ensuring timely response to staff member requests and smooth delivery of HR services.
• Under the direction of the Chief of People & Equity, develops plans and strategies for programs and key initiatives, presenting recommendations for efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Partners with department leaders on the smooth rollout of key HR initiatives; coaches managers on various HR best practices such as staffing plans, job descriptions, performance management, identifying and addressing employee needs, and advising on staff departures.
• Manages employee relations, fielding complaints, leading investigations; escalating HR/legal issues to Chief of People & Equity as appropriate.
• Cultivates employee engagement, including the facilitation of employee surveys; activities that boost employee engagement including plans for in-person, remote, and hybrid organizational events/staff meetings.
• Partners with the Chief of People & Equity on strategies for professional development and training needs.
• Pays special attention to efforts that support inclusive environments, including promoting inclusive and equitable practices in hiring and other employment decisions.
• Works within the department and PEO to manage employee leave of absence requests.
• Supports the Chief of People & Equity with reporting and project management.
• Provides backup support and redundancy for core HR systems and processes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Attend full JED staff meetings.
• Attend other JED programming and events when possible.
• Serve on JED committees/projects as needed and as assigned.

Director, Human Resources

Program Manager

Supports JED's District Comprehensive Approach program through project management and relationship management.

• Key collaborator in district-level program work
• Supports PK-12 district programming
• Project management, design and planning support, launch and implementation support, communications, and relationship management
• Focus on systems-wide school mental health transformation and suicide prevention

Integrate research and clinical knowledge into JED's youth mental health initiatives.

• Ensure integration of current research on youth mental health into our work
• Serve as the primary point for literature reviews and verification of statistics
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure evidence-based content
• Lead initiatives to integrate research into JED’s work
• Write literature reviews and research reports on youth mental health topics
• Maintain a library of key findings from research studies
• Develop relationships with external consultants and governmental organizations
• Remain current with best practices for messaging related to mental health
