Description

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with GAAP standards. • Ensure all financial data is reported accurately and on time, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and transparency. • Oversee the management of the general ledger, including the supervision of journal entries and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. • Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, providing insights that drive business decisions. • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring that payments are made and collections are received in a timely manner. • Monitor daily cash balances and forecast future cash needs to effectively manage the company’s cash flow. • Review and approve reconciliations for key accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals. • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring they align with physical inventory counts and provide analysis related to inventory turnover, shrinkage, and obsolescence. • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management. • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. • Proven experience in managing general ledger functions and financial statement preparation. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations. • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
