• Provide legal representation to minors with the Family Court, including juvenile delinquency, PINS, abuse/neglect, foster care placement, and custody/visitation cases • Provide community outreach, education, and training to our community partners • Consult with and review the work of the social worker on each case assigned • Conduct legal research in each case as required • Attend Continuing Legal Education training
• Juris Doctor • Candidates who are Admitted to the NYS Bar; and Candidates who have received their JD and awaiting to sit for the July 2024 bar exam are also welcome to apply • High level of initiative, self-motivation, and organization • Excellent legal research and writing skills • Strong negotiating ability • Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas effectively and accurately • Respectful and empathetic consideration for clients • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and community partners • Access to reliable transportation • Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment (familiarity with technologies involved in a virtual work environment including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc. preferred)
