Description

• Pragma, a MarketAxess company, is looking for an additional member of its Trading Systems Engineering team to focus on the development of Pragma’s next generation, flexible, low-latency trading platform. • Trading Systems Engineers are designing and developing new functionality for Pragma’s trading platform.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience writing trading platforms including order management systems, order gateways, and market data systems • Prior experience designing important functionality that required at least a man year to execute • Deep knowledge of Java 17+ and preferably Java 21+ • Still devoting 75% of your time to hands on development • Development experience on a sequencer-based system • Able to design and deliver long-term sustainable and product-focused software • Have broad areas of interest within technology and the trading business and keep up with current software engineering trends • A team player that can articulate technical viewpoints and engage in healthy debate with others • Strong attention to detail in both written and verbal communication. • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree
