Description
• Develop a deep understanding of our users' experience in a highly technical domain to identify user needs. • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to break down ambiguous product problems and create design solutions that are delightful for users, feasible to build, and deliver on our business goals. • Synthesize user and internal feedback with business objectives to evaluate several potential design directions and align on a path forward. Provide design critique to other design team members. • Maintain and evolve our design system. Determine when to apply existing patterns vs. create new ones. • Lead the team in advocating for our users. Work closely with our Director of Product to shape the vision for the user experience. Foster a culture of design thinking throughout the business.
Requirements
• Have 5+ years of design experience, ideally working on a complex B2B Product, and a proven ability of leading design initiatives from beginning to end. • Have a portfolio that reflects your strengths in both user experience and aesthetic design, as well as in the implementation of user testing and research throughout the design process. • Highly creative and energized by generating design concepts from scratch on new product lines. • Are proficient in Figma and experienced in prototyping and interaction design. • Apply a strategic lens to everything you do. Plan for the long term while navigating short-term tradeoffs. • Collaborate well across teams; You can distill and incorporate feedback and communicate clearly and concisely. You can simplify complex concepts, articulate, and explain your thoughts effectively, and ask the right questions to gain deeper insights. • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, often wearing multiple hats. You’re comfortable when the lines between Product and Design blur. • You're eager to shape our product foundation and will level up team practices and processes.
