Description
• We are looking for experienced fund accountants in the private equity industry that are interested in translating that experience into the development of critical software for the private fund industry. • You will be a part of the foundation of Maybern’s Product Operations team, which is designing, building, and implementing our product in conjunction with the Product and Engineering teams. • Consequently, you will be one of the chief architects of the product, requiring the ability to translate private equity experience into business logic that we will encode in software. • You will also be key in building relationships with existing clients and understanding their unique business requirements.
Requirements
• Have a minimum of five years of experience in accounting for private equity funds, with hands-on experience at a private equity firm a plus. • Have an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, with accounting preferred and CPA accreditation a plus. • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are comfortable presenting to clients. • Are proficient with Microsoft Excel. • Are knowledgeable in fund accounting systems (Yardi, Investran, etc.). • Have experience with investment structures and financial statements. • Have a heightened attention to detail that can be applied to the translation of a variety of private fund structures and calculations into a flexible software solution.
