• Shape long term strategy for Risk and products at Mercury • Understand user interaction with risk-related products • Lead design solutions to scale experiences • Collaborate with product, engineering, and risk partners • Work across the entire design stack • Find elegant solutions to user problems • Simplify design elements ruthlessly • Craft designs from first principles • Prototype multiple visual and UX concepts • Communicate reasoning behind product decisions • Mentor other designers for breakthrough ideas
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in the design industry • Worked in risk, fraud, or compliance • Collaborated with cross-functional partners at senior levels • Comfortable running quantitative & qualitative research • Strong understanding of using metrics to inform design • Ability to design whole systems • Experience in UI/UX, visual design, and interaction design • Experience building for mobile and web • Understand when no design is the best design • Comfortable anticipating and designing for edge cases • Understand balance between perfect design and getting to market • Exhibit kindness and humility • Enjoy working with fellow designers
