Project Manager

Project Manager III supporting NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer.

• Provide Agency IT project managers with guidance on OCIO Program and Project Management policies and procedures related to project governance, milestones, key decision points, and system engineering reviews.
• Assisting with the formulation of each effort's strategic and operational plans to ensure integration and portfolio alignment.
• Aligning portfolio approach, impact, and timing with the broader environment and proactively mitigating risks to the schedule and resolving or escalating conflicts.
• Coordinating with Customer Engagement representatives on communications with internal/external stakeholders and customers ensuring they are informed of progress, deviations from plans, and risks.

• Assess information and communication technology (ICT) for compliance with the latest versions(s) of Section 508 standards
• Obtain Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) from original equipment manufacturers (OEM)
• Review ACRs to evaluate requested products conform to the Revised Section 508 Standards
• Facilitate meetings with OEMs to assist with the facilitation of the completion of ACRs
• Advise customers on criteria within ACRs where standards are only partially or not fully supported and provide recommendations to alternative products that will meet the customer’s needs
• Participate and collaborate in discussions with NASA to determine alternative products that meet customers’ needs and obtain approvals to deviate from strategically sourced products that may not meet Section 508 standards
• Maintain and manage documents in a NASA-provided repository or system
• Track all Section 508 Compliance Review Requests through their lifecycles
