Description

• The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for building out our operations platform, ensuring efficiency through automation, deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing strategic integrations that meet our clients’ needs • The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a well-rounded understanding of Enterprise Architecture, and an automation background with experience running production environments at scale • Help develop new architectural patterns for emerging products, contribute to environment standardization, develop new monitoring and security tools, and contribute to maintaining operational BAU • An exciting time for Octaura as they are rapidly growing and looking for energetic, collaborative and driven thinkers to join • Role based out of NYC office with a structure of 4 days in the office, 1 day from home

Requirements

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience • Extensive knowledge of modern cloud environments (preferably AWS) • Linux sysadmin and debugging experience • Proficiency in 1 or more scripting languages. Python preferred • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-code management. Terraform preferred • Problem solving and focus on understanding root-cause of issues • Experience with VMs and containers • Experience running scalable, multi-region production environments • Strong communication skills • Team player • Sense of humor
